
Think about the ants, they work all the time. These little creatures can lift 20 times its body weight. They don’t hear as we do but hear by feeling the movement in the ground with their tiny feet. When they go foraging for food, they leave a trail to know where they have already been. So, we see how these creatures are always preparing for their future. What about us! Jesus encouraged us before he left that he would come again, although he reminded us that there would be many difficult days. We must put our trust in Him and follow his teachings. In the last days people shall become lovers of their own selves, truce breakers, false accusers, and lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God (2 Timothy 3:1-5). Are you being a wise steward of God’s Word, which reminds us to “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2: 15). In addition, with the difficult times caused by the downturn of the economy, are you preparing for your family as the ants would? Seek to learn various survival techniques of food preparation, gardening, and other creative things to help you manage more appropriately and financially and to provide the tools for your family’s survival.
