God Calls and Equips!

(Exodus 4:1-10)

God has equipped every believer with the Comforter, his promise of the Holy Spirit. He is there for us, but the key is, we must be obedient to follow the plans set for us. We must surrender to the Holy Spirit’s control. God may give us a task to do which may seem impossible, difficult or something we may not even want to tackle. In addition, we may choose to listen to the negative voices of others declaring why we shouldn’t do whatever plans we have set or even if we are sure, it was from God. These negative vibes from others drown out all that God has promised and create feelings causing inadequacies take over. We no longer see the vision, the message that God has placed within our hearts but only see defeat and lack of faith.

Moses in our text dealt with his own demons in believing he could not speak well enough because of an impediment. As you read, think about all the excuses he used to avoid doing what God asked him to do. Do we make excuses as to why we cannot meet the challenges that God places before us? Or are we going to ask God to send us where he wants us and or give us the strength to do what He would like for us to do. We miss out on so many wonderful opportunities when we fail to Trust and Believe God. In 2 Timothy 3:17 and Hebrews 13:21 reminds us to know that God fully equips us for every good thing and to do a good work for His will.

Let us not allow the circumstances and the other voices to control us but as Believers allow God’s Spirit to direct our paths. As we acknowledge the Lord in all our ways, He will lead us in the way that we should go (Proverbs 3:6). We can do nothing in our own strength, and yet when we are weak, He is made strong, therefore, we must give him all the glory and honor for the things that are accomplished in our life. It is a good thing when we feel inadequate because it is a great time for God to do the work in and through us.
