What happens when it seems like there is no hope for you or for your situation, all hope is gone? Hannah experienced that when the Lord shut up her womb (1 Samuel 1:5). As every Hebrew woman, Hannah wanted children. She was despised by other
women because she did not have children which caused her a lot of distress!
Hannah loved her God and had great faith in Him, so much so that she believed if He gave her a son, she promised that she would give the child back to Him. What amazing faith? Hannah’s testimony encourages us to commit our hopes, dreams, and aspirations unto the Lord. He is the only one that can give us those things we desire aligned with His will and purpose.
What do you need to commit unto the Lord’s hands? What about an unfavorable diagnosis, your marriage, your community, job, or children that have gone astray? It really doesn’t matter, whatever it is, nothing is too big or too small for God. All He asks that we honor (Proverbs 3:6) “ in all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct our paths”. God has the answer for whatever we need, however, it may not be the answer that we desire or expect, but our Heavenly Father knows exactly what is best for us! He is Sovereign and wants us to know Him intimately and to recognize that He works in ways we may never imagine by his power, goodness, justice, and wisdom.
Let us grow in his Word, the Bible and allow it to transform us with a prayerful relationship with Him. Remember that everlasting covenant God gave with the rainbow His protection for every living creature and all flesh that is on the earth. God continues to do amazing things and keeps all his promises. You can trust Him!
