Exploring the Zinnia’s Beauty through Seeds

This has been the first year that I planted the annual Zinnia seed, normally I purchase the potted plants. These beautiful plants must be replanted each year because they are not perennials. Have you planted Zinnia seeds or potted plants before, which do you prefer? I also observed that these colorful beauties look different from seeds than those from potted plants.

The plant versions appeared to bloom in bunches, but the seed ones were single long stemmed multiple-colored vibrant beauties. This season is almost ending, and I considered pulling up the plants because of colder weather coming soon. When I went outside to clean out the flower garden, I noticed that some of them looked great!

October 1st has been the beginning of cutting Zinnias to adorn my table, I had never cut them before, but have made over four cuttings since my discovery.  This has been a game changer for me in planting the seeds but will definitely engage the potted plants as well next year to have a wonderful variety of splendor to enjoy.

Remember to embrace the simple things of life, they too can bring you much joy. It only takes time from our day to observe the beauty around us! I challenge you to see the things that are among you and appreciate the delight they can bring, use your senses to make them come alive!
