Good and Evil…but Righteousness Prevails!

The Election of 2024 (credit: mphillips007)

This election was a spiritual battle of good and evil of our country and our world. It was so much bigger than Republican Donald J. Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” There is a battle between God and Satan, even while choosing leaders. The people of Israel rejected God as their king, so he chose to give them Saul (1Samuel 8:6-7). We can trust that he is Soverign and chooses the leader that supports his plan and purpose for the Kingdom of God.

The Real Fight Manifests

Jesus is soon to return! Scripture tells us in Matthew 24:6-8 “that we shall hear of wars and rumors of wars, nation shall rise against nation kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places.” God tells us in his Word not to be troubled because these things must happen and are the beginning of sorrows. We can see the evidence of scripture being fulfilled before us with the happenings around our world. Ukraine, Israel and other nations are in or contemplating war, the devastation from hurricanes, earthquakes, tsunamis, famines and pestilences in diversified countries plague us. There is a war going on and the enemy Satan provides counterfeit and devastating promises to God’s people to gain control and to create a false Kingdom contrary to God’s rule of grace, love and mercy. He hates God and all that he stands for and is always trying to undermine God’s authority, but Jesus Christ reigns and shall rule victoriously!

Goodness Ruled in Spite of the Attacks

With this and every election it is very important that Christians seek to research the individuals they are voting for and determine that the candidates’ policies align up with God’s Word, for he knows the plans he has set for us. Who did you choose and what were your perceptions of a leader?

The following things were reasons I made my choice for Donald Trump:

  1. Attack on Marriage (Genesis 1:27-28) God created male and female to be fruitful and to multiply.
  2. Unalive Innocent Babies – Abortions- Everything God creates has purpose and he is the Giver ofLife.
  3. Men in Women Sports and in Bathrooms – Women and girls must be safe in their bathrooms, avoidance of males presence and participation of girl only activities.
  4. Economy – Food, Gas, Housing – Families are dealing with high prices which affect their ability to provide for them
  5. Open Borders- America welcomes everyone into our country but they must come in legally- Concerns for citizens safety and added cost on cities.

Donald Trump is not a Saint, but the one chosen for this appointed time to fulfill God’s plan for our nation and our world.  May he acknowledge God in all the decisions he makes for us!

Call to Action

People came together on one accord to ensure that their voices were heard, and Donald J. Trump was reelected as the 47th President! Thank God for the victory and may his leadership help to Make America Great Again! May each of us seek to know and understand how we can make a difference in our world. Get involved in local government school boards, other community establishments and seek to run for office to make positive changes. In addition, I encourage individuals to pray for our President-elect, his family and Cabinet, bless this Administration and every citizen with economic prosperity. May there be unity in our land and the nations as he is obedient to God and seeks to follow the plans that God has set for our country, the United States of America and Beyond!
