6 Things to Use for House Cleaning Satisfaction

On Good Friday of this year, I gave myself a treat and welcomed a Hispanic Cleaning business from Chapel Hill to come into our home. It has been a while since I used cleaning services because my other private owned servicer ended her 5-year independent business to work full time at American Airlines. She was wonderful and I hadn’t considered anyone else since March of last year. In the case of my injured hand has left my house in need of deep cleaning, however I remained steadfast with the surface level cleaning and have been desiring to find someone else tried and true.

Well, LaWanda, my daughter, has been so impressed with this lady’s service and encouraged her to travel to Selma for me. She agreed to do so, and I decided to try her out on Good Friday. Ms. Lisseth appeared at my door on time, decked out for work with ruby red lipstick, a red hooded jacket, hair up in a flowing ponytail, navy company logo work shirt and crisp denim jeans. Most extraordinary thing was that she wore red wedged high heel tennis shoes, throughout her time here and never seemed to fatigue. When I told her how impressed I was she said, “I give my best for my business and will do a great job for you, Ok?”

We introduced ourselves and she introduced the lady helping her that did not speak English. I gave her a walkthrough and shared that since I was changing seasons, asked if she would change my linens, and bedspreads for spring. Not certain of what her answer would be, but she said yes, I was blown away! She suggested that before they began cleaning, she and the other lady could change out all the beds first. I told her that no one else had ever done this because I did it all before the cleaners came, she said that it was not good because the dust would get on the beds which really makes sense. Do you have your bed linens, comforters and bedspreads changed out as part of your cleaning process?

I am usually outside in my yard or garden while the cleaners are working, but because I had included additional tasks for them, I stayed inside and changed out enhancing items like curtains, swags, pictures, towels, towels, washcloths, flowers etc. for spring. It was a delight to see how they incorporated them into each finished room. I loved it! What a pleasure to watch them work, like little bees. Another thing I never noticed from previous cleaners was that they washed all the baseboards. For me, I usually just wipe them with Clorox wipes, but washing really makes a big difference!

I have learned something from each of the cleaners that have come into our home, however, these are the following things I have learned from Ms. Lisseth’s Cleaning Service:

  • Use a Pumice stone to clean the stains in the toilet bowl
  • Use your choice of bleach and Awesome Oxygen Orange Degreaser to clean
  • Use Murphy’s Multi Oil Soap Wood Cleaner for cabinets
  • Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner & Polish (I already have and use)
  • TB Quat Disinfectant Ready-to-Cleaner (I already have and use)
  • Awesome Oxygen Orange Powder (She did not recommend, but I use)

Nearing her time to end, she shared that two rooms had not been cleaned, however, only one could be chosen, would it be the Living Room or Kitchen? Of course, I said kitchen because we rarely use the living room. I was so impressed with the changes that she added to make the kitchen more accessible for our everyday use, I am glad that was my choice.  We discussed possibilities for future visits, she shared special pricings offered to clean the entire house to my satisfaction for a future visit.

I am excited for the service I have received and will consider other opportunities.
