Spring is here! In my earlier blog we talked about planting seeds or standard live plants. Well, I am using a little of both and hope the harvest is plentiful. This is the first year that it seems like nothing is happening productively in my garden. A lot of nuts and bolts are missing to add to my garden’s structure and aesthetic design. Much is to be desired!
What appealing aesthetic designs have you added to your garden to make it more attractive, tasteful, and more functional in its use? I have purchased some colorful metal bouncy replicas of flowers and bees to display in the garden and hope to add more things as the season continues. Another thing that I haven’t added to my raised garden beds is my cattle panel trellis. This has been used before in my garden to display bush beans, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Now, I must identify where I will put it.
Another reason that I am having a challenge in setting up my garden is that I am trying to utilize companion gardening. Companion planting in my garden is a technique by which different plants are grown together to help each other. They may increase crop yields and reduce the need for pesticides. I hope this will make a strategic difference in my gardening and productivity of the bounty. How is your garden manifesting? Have you begun to reap the benefits of any of your crops? What are they?
As a Life Coach, I hope we can use strategies in gardening to encompass and develop ways to assist the individual in choosing the most appropriate direction needed in getting and remaining unstuck with purpose.
