Where Are You on the Spectrum?

“A spectrum is a wide range of different things, ideas, or qualities that flow smoothly from one extreme to another” (AI Overview). For our purpose, I would like to focus on the seasons of the year. We are about to enter my favorite time of the year which is fall. What is your favorite period of the year and why? Fall 2026 begins on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, although this is the time that the temperature drops, plant life slows down, leaves change to vibrant colors of red, yellow, orange and fall from the trees. Foliage is one of the most beautiful signs of fall.

Families choose to enjoy this special time to make repairs to their homes, kids spend joyous moments jumping into leaf piles and parents share chores with the children of raking leaves. Pumpkin patches spring up, then there are corn mazes, hayrides and all kinds of fall festivals for communities to enjoy. Did I say that I really love fall?

I get excited about time we “fall back” to regain the hour of sleep that was lost during Daylight Saving Time. I remember that the farmers appreciated the extra hour they were given during the evenings to harvest the crops, especially during tobacco time.

Since the weather is cooler in the fall and it is a great time for football, don’t forget to wear those warm sweaters. They would really feel great!
